Saving Your Dell Laptop Battery
There are several easy practices that will increase the life of your Dell laptop battery. One of the most frustrating things about laptops as they age is the fact that the battery tends not to hold a charge for very long and constantly having to look for an outlet takes away the portability that a laptop should provide. You should keep your screen dim to save your laptop battery power, and make sure you are using the optimum power saving settings; additional RAM may also help. Keep the Dell laptop battery contacts clean, as dirty contacts can sometimes drain power. Also, unless you use a Lithium-Ion (Li-ion) battery, you should completely charge and then completely discharge the battery at least once a month.
